Economist: Climate Change Issue
This week The Economist runs a series of articles about business attitudes and responss to climate change.
1. Things have changed, business isn't the laggard any more, politicians need to step it up, and make some difficult agreements in order for low carbon businesses to become profitable and widespread.
2.Green business practices are becoming important, clean tech is expanding.
3. A cap and trade system in the US is seen as inevitable...lets have it soon so we have some policy certainty and smart investment decisions can be made.
4. We need more stringent caps for the system to work, we need a significant price of carbon.
5. It's past time to 'ban the bulb' incandescent filament lights are costly and energy inefficient, rightly, they are on there way out.
