EON: Do they think we are that stupid?

This years target of the climate camp--EON has been sketching out a world in which there role is important and coal is indispensable. Well, ther's a surprise! Apparently without this billion dollar profit raking corporation and its addiction to coal we would all be screwed. That's interesting, interestingly inverted.

Power companies are innovation adverse, they have a cushy number and they don't want anything to change. This is reflected in there minuscule research budgets which are lower as a percentage of profits than virtually any other industry. Unfortunately for them we can't bare the social, health and economic costs of continuing polluting coal. Simon Lewis makes the argument in today's Guardian.
